MADO - Madrid Orgullo

MADO (Madrid Orgullo) is Madrid's official LGBTIQ+ Pride festival, filling the Chueca neighbourhood and central streets with concerts, drag shows, market stalls and community stages for a week each summer. Its centerpiece is the State Pride March, convened with FELGTBI+ and COGAM, widely described as the largest LGBTQ+ mobilization in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Beyond the march, MADO programs free daytime and evening stages across several plazas, cultural talks and family activities, making it both a protest and a citywide celebration. It typically runs in the days leading up to the first Saturday of July.
