QueerCineMad (LesGaiCineMad)
Madrid's long-running international LGBTIAQ+ film festival, held every November.
QueerCineMad, formerly known as LesGaiCineMad, is the largest LGBTIAQ+ film festival in the Spanish-speaking world and one of the oldest queer film festivals in Europe, running annually since 1996. Organized by Fundación Triángulo, it screens features, documentaries and short films from around the world across sections such as Official Competition, Panorama and Dissident Cinema, alongside talks and workshops. Held over about two weeks each November at venues including Cineteca Madrid and Sala Berlanga, it gives visibility to queer stories and filmmakers while building community around cinema, making it a fixture of Madrid's LGBTQ+ cultural calendar.
